WHO WE ARE

Established in 1996 we are one of Sydney’s most experienced property inspectors. Preferred by leading property law professionals and real estate agents we provide truly INDEPENDENT, informative and ethical advice relating to building, timber pest and strata records matters. We also service the Blue Mountains, Illawarra, Southern Highlands and Central Coast areas.

WHY CHOOSE SIBI?

Many inspectors who have started to operate in recent times have come into our industry from a building trade or even a professional background, however, have little or no ‘inspections experience’.

All our inspectors are employees of the company, tertiary qualified and have at least ten (10) years of ‘inspections experience’ on top of their vast prior trade and industry experience. At SIBI, we believe that the inspectors that are best qualified to ‘help you make the right decision’ are those that have extensive ‘inspections experience’ not just previous ‘construction experience’……SIBI has carried out more than 50,000 inspections since its inception!

With prior arrangement and vendors consent we offer a FREE fifteen (15) minute ‘Post Inspection Site Consultation’ should you wish to receive immediate feedback from your inspector.

Many inspectors work as subcontractors for large marketing driven organisations, which only exist in a virtual world driven by low fees and high volumes. You can never meet the owner and/or team member at their office as it does not exist.

At SIBI, all our inspectors are employees of the company and you know who will be carrying out your inspections each and every time. We pride ourselves on building long term relationships with our clients based on our vision and philosophy, which has an emphasis on:

With our current staffing levels we are able to provide you with extremely efficient turnaround times on inspections and reports; with a 24 hour turnaround in most cases and even same day turnaround in those very urgent cases, where access is readily available.

We are members of the Institute of Building Consultants (IBC) NSW and Master Builders Association (MBA) of NSW.

Being members of such reputable professional bodies gives us access to; the latest industry news, changes to legislation, courses for our Continual Professional Development (CPD), technical support as well as a forum to share and exchange ideas with other like-minded professionals in our field.

Our Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance cover is provided by ‘Australia’s leading Insurer to the pest and building inspections industry’. Accreditation by Rapid Solutions is a rigorous process, with many new inspectors unable to achieve this.

We are setting up our management system to conform to the requirements of both the Australian and International Standard AS/ANZ ISO 9001: 2008. 

Once complete we will be one of the only property inspection consultancies in NSW with such accreditation to ensure we remain a leader in our industry!

In addition, we currently ensure that every one of our reports goes through a rigorous in-house checking process to ensure consistency and accuracy of information provided in each and every report.

At SIBI we are experts in our field and only carry out property inspections.

We DO NOT:

  • cut grass,
  • carry out general pest treatments and sprays,
  • treat for active termites,
  • install termite management systems, or
  • carry out building construction and maintenance work.

Many businesses rely on low cost property inspection reports to generate work for their ‘other’ operations. They strategically lower their inspection services fees and inflate their costs for the ‘other’ services which they recommend be carried out in their reports.

Historically, the majority of our work has been generated directly or via referral from our network of property law professionals, many of whom have been with us since the beginning. We believe the property law professionals who deal with inspectors on a daily basis have the best knowledge of who the good and reliable ones are……that’s why we’ve been ‘helping their clients make the right decision’ for so many years providing truly Independent, informative and ethical advice.
